Nothing seriously amazing, just a Canon MV600, something to generally prat about on and make a few shorts.
I'm actually going to make a few shorts (I have a few ideas in mind) ton convince my Mum and Dad to give me some money towards a Canon XLS-1 or something along those lines.

Well, as I said I've got a few years yet until my Mum either a) realises I'm a genius auter and gives me some money or b) I get my ass out of college and get a job-So by then I guess the replacements will be out.
Any tips on HD cameras. What's the total difference in quality (except from super high definition) and price (also size-are they big?)
Thanks.

You can scrounge off your mum, dad or even the dole as you mentioned in a different post and you won't be able to afford HD.
The cameras are expensive, and the proper HD editing facilities are expensive and charge by the hour. Also if you were to use HD all your costs go up because you'd need a skilled crew(a good DoP especially) and good lighting. It is alot more sensitive than Mini-DV and beta, therefore the quality from HD can be fantastic if it used right, and terrible if not. The cameras are about the same size as a average Digi-beta cam.

The comment about being on the dole was actually a joke.
